Dihexa
Dihexa (N-hexanoic-Tyr-Ile-(6) aminohexanoic amide)
A hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) potentiator reported to be one of the most potent cognitive-enhancing compounds identified. Very early-stage research.
Dihexa is not approved by the FDA for human use. It is sold strictly for research purposes only and is not intended for human consumption, diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of any disease or condition. Purchase and use is entirely at your own risk.

Dihexa is a small peptide derived from Angiotensin IV research at Washington State University. It potentiates hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) signaling via the c-Met receptor, which plays a role in synaptogenesis — the formation of new synaptic connections in the brain.
It has been reported by its developers to be orders of magnitude more potent than BDNF at enhancing cognitive function in animal models. However, it is at a very early stage of research with essentially no published human data.
What research shows
- Potent synaptogenic effects in rodent models — promotes new synaptic connection formation
- Significant cognitive enhancement in Alzheimer's animal models
- Reported to be approximately 7 orders of magnitude more potent than BDNF at pro-cognitive tasks in rodent models
- HGF/c-Met signaling potentiation is the proposed mechanism
What remains unknown
- Human safety data — essentially none published
- Long-term effects — HGF/c-Met is involved in cell proliferation and cancer biology
- Whether animal model results translate to humans
- Optimal dosing — no established human protocol exists
Administration basics
Common use cases
Cognitive enhancement research. Should be approached with significant caution given the unknown safety profile.
Half-life
Extended — albumin binding properties prolong activity.
Administration
Oral or transdermal (skin absorption). Some subcutaneous use reported.

Doses used in research
- Animal research has shown efficacy at nanomolar concentrations — orders of magnitude more potent than BDNF in preclinical models
- Human community protocols are not established; reported doses range from 1–5mg orally or topically
Administration routes studied
Typical protocol duration
Very short cycles of 1–2 weeks are commonly reported given the compound's extreme potency in preclinical data.
Common stacking protocols
- Dihexa + Semax or Selank — combined in cognitive enhancement stacks
Contraindications & combinations to avoid
- Active cancer or history of cancer — Dihexa potentiates HGF (hepatocyte growth factor), which is involved in cell growth and survival
- Psychiatric medications — theoretical interaction given potent neurological effects; consult a physician
- This compound has virtually no human clinical trial data — it is among the most speculative entries on this platform
Dosing information reflects doses used in published research and commonly reported community protocols only. This is not a personal recommendation. These compounds are not FDA-approved for human use in the contexts described. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any protocol.
