What it is

TB-500 is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the active region of Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), specifically the sequence LKKTETQ. Thymosin Beta-4 is a naturally occurring protein found in high concentrations in blood platelets and wound fluid.

The TB-500 fragment is studied because it appears to retain many of the biological activities of the full Tβ4 protein while being more practical for research use.

What research shows

  • Promotes healing of wounds, muscle, skin, heart tissue, and eyes in animal models
  • Upregulates actin, a key component of cell migration and tissue structure
  • Anti-inflammatory properties in several tissue types
  • May improve cardiac function post-injury in animal models
  • Synergistic tissue repair when combined with BPC-157

What remains unknown

  • Dose-response relationship in humans
  • Long-term safety profile in humans
  • Whether benefits observed in rodents replicate in human physiology
  • Exact mechanism of action for each tissue type studied

Administration basics

Common use cases

Athletic recovery, injury healing. Often stacked with BPC-157 for compounding repair effects.

Half-life

Not well characterized in humans. Animal data suggests several hours to days depending on route.

Administration

Subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.

Research Protocols & Common Usage

Doses used in research

  • Animal studies have used 2–2.5mg per injection
  • Community loading protocols commonly report 5–10mg/week for 4–6 weeks
  • Community maintenance protocols commonly report 2–2.5mg/week thereafter

Administration routes studied

Subcutaneous injectionIntramuscular injection

Typical protocol duration

Community protocols commonly report a loading phase of 4–6 weeks followed by a maintenance phase. Total cycles of 8–12 weeks are frequently reported.

Common stacking protocols

  • BPC-157 + TB-500 (The Wolverine Stack) — the most widely reported recovery stack; BPC-157 handles localized repair while TB-500 provides systemic healing
  • BPC-157 + TB-500 + GHK-Cu (The GLOW Stack) — adds collagen synthesis and skin remodeling to the recovery foundation
  • BPC-157 + TB-500 + GHK-Cu + KPV (The KLOW Stack) — the GLOW Stack with KPV for added anti-inflammatory coverage
  • TB-500 + Ipamorelin/CJC-1295 — combined with GH peptides in some athletic recovery protocols

Contraindications & combinations to avoid

  • Active cancer or history of cancer — TB-500 promotes cell migration, which could theoretically support tumor spread
  • Anticoagulant medications — consult a physician before combining
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding — no safety data available

Dosing information reflects doses used in published research and commonly reported community protocols only. This is not a personal recommendation. These compounds are not FDA-approved for human use in the contexts described. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any protocol.
